About the Work
Every painting is built alla prima — palette knife to wet paint, one session. Each original is the only one that exists, and once it finds a home, that’s where it stays.
The paintings move between Colorado’s high-altitude grandeur, the rolling farmland of New England, intimate European village scenes, and the wide quiet of the American West.

My wife and I have lived with two of Sandra's paintings — Autumn Composition and Colorful Village — and they have become impossible to imagine the room without.
What strikes us most is how different the two works are in subject, yet identical in their effect: you are pulled somewhere else entirely. There is a stillness in them that invites genuine contemplation. The texture and depth reward close looking — and reward it again, months later.

I have been following you since we bought one of your paintings in 2009-2010. We were in Santa Fe and fell in love with your painting of the St. Francis of Assisi church in Taos.
